NewTek and MediaCast conducted two free training sessions presenting the range of NewTek solutions from cameras to integrated IP-based production systems on November 8 at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort in Dubai.
Professionals from the fields of video for broadcast, sports, entertainment, education, corporate and government attended the session conducted by Chris Waddington, Senior Director of Sales, EMEA at NewTek.
Products and solutions on display included Newtek’s video-over-IP technology NDI, NewTek Connect, TalkShow and the IP-enabled camera, the NDI PTZ camera, among others.
Speaking to BroadcastPro ME, Waddington stated: “We have customers asking about moving to 4K and the strategies to shift to IP. In a baseband world, there would be two upgrade cycles to get to 4K. However if you are aligning your 4K strategy with the move to IP, you are looking only at one upgrade cycle down the road. The beauty of IP is it is far more scalable. You have the ability to scale your infrastructure infinitely by simply increasing network capacity making the process cost effective.”
