First reveal of ON.DXB industry speakers include acclaimed animator and Mr Bean producer Tom Beattie, Lebanese gaming icon Reine Abbas, Palestinian actor and producer Rami Jaber and industry leader, Sarah Al Jarman.
Tickets go on sale today for ON.DXB – the new film, game, video and music festival taking place from November 21-23 at Dubai Studio City, with a number of industry names now confirmed ahead of some major announcements set to be revealed next week.
Tom Beattie, the producer responsible for transforming comedy character Mr Bean into an animated series, will talk working with Rowan Atkinson, animation and bringing Mr Bean’s unique comedy to new audiences. Actor and producer Rami Jaber will lift the lid on his progress from YouTube to Hollywood, ahead of a co-starring role alongside former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan, in The Misfits, later this year.
Reine Abbas, named one of the most powerful women in gaming and co-founder and COO of Wixel Studios, will also deliver a keynote speech aimed at empowering talent in the gaming industry and beyond, while the role of women in the ongoing transformation of the media landscape will be discussed by Sarah Al Jarman, General Manager of Dubai TV & Dubai One TV.
Tickets include a three-day Industry Pass – which includes access to the Industry Arena and dozens of live talks and discussions across three stages from international experts, regional leaders, brands and organisations – priced at AED 950 for professionals and AED 500 for students. A one-day VIP Industry Pass is priced at AED 1,500.
Industry passes also enable holders to access the Festival Square, which includes access to a full schedule of events including the showcase of content from the ‘ON.DXB Call for Content’, engaging brand activations, workshops, film screenings, as well as live performances from international stars on the Main Stage.
One-day passes are priced at AED 100 per day on November 21 and 22, and AED 150 on November 23. Three-day passes to Festival Square are priced at AED 275.
