The Royal Film Commission, Jordan in cooperation with the Goethe Institute in Amman will be screening the German-Spanish film One Day in Europe on the occasion of the Women’s Football World Cup in Germany on 13 July.
The film, a comedy directed by Hannes Stohr, features parallel stories in four different European cities on a day that happens to be the Champions League final.
It depicts tourists in the cities of Berlin, Istanbul, Moscow and Santiago de Compostela, who are robbed or stage robberies to claim insurance.
It follows their interaction with policemen in their respective cities on that day.
One Day in Europe was nominated for the Golden Bear Award at Berlin International Film Festival in 2005 and the Golden Iris Award in Brussels European Film Festival in 2005.
The movie will be screened at The Royal Film Commission at 8pm.
