Ooredoo and Wataniya Mobile, a member of Ooredoo Group, have announced that they will be the lead sponsors of Palestines two top divisions, the Premier League and the Gaza Strip League, in partnership with the Palestine Football Association.
The major agreement was announced at special press conference held in the Ramallah this week, attended by the Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association, Major General Jibreel Rjoub, and the CEO of Wataniya Mobile, Dr. Durgham Maree.
Ooredoo has a long history of supporting sport at grassroots and international levels, and this latest agreement is seen as particularly significant, given the importance of football in the lives of many young Palestinians.
Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani, Chairman, Ooredoo Group, said: We believe that Ooredoo can bring incredible value to football in Palestine, through our support for both leagues, and also through our understanding of how mobile technology can enhance the experience for fans. This initiative fits well with our track record of being one of the regions most engaged supporters of sport.
Major General Jibreel Rjoub, Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association, said: We are very grateful to Ooredoo, and to the Chairman of Ooredoo Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani in particular, for their support of this new sponsorship agreement. We believe it will provide the resources and support necessary to take football in Palestine to the next level, and enrich the experience for fans and players.

We will be announcing a range of exciting initiatives in the coming months that will delight and surprise supporters, as part of our comprehensive approach to sponsorship.
