Running on iOS and Android-compatible mobile devices, the app uses optimised streaming technology to offer services in high definition (HD).
Commenting on the partnership, Johan Buse, Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo said, Everything around us is getting faster and more accessible, with more and more people using their smartphones for online services and information. When we first started to develop the Ooredoo TV Go app, we took into consideration this smartphone trend as well as the importance of providing customers with high quality streaming, competitive prices and a strong network reach that will enable them to enjoy this experience. Being able to watch your favourite movie or TV show any place, any time and on any device, live or on-demand is now a reality and soon will become a way of life.
This is only the beginning for Ooredoo TV Go. We will have more content and channels added in the future and we also have ambitious plans to have it optimised for television. Using our modernised network across the Sultanate, customers can look forward to a world of choice delivered through the most advanced streaming technology.
Providing accessibility for up to four devices, customers can download the Ooredoo TV Go app from their app store. Prepaid and postpaid customers are also recommended to subscribe to one of Ooredoos great data bundles or use their WiFi to enjoy the world of entertainment offered on Ooredoo TV Go.
Maaz Sheikh, CEO at Starz Play added: We continue our commitment to providing the best user experience to our subscribers, and this partnership with Ooredoo will allow us to build on our promise to provide our customers with world class entertainment.
The combination of SVOD platforms and telecom operators now brings Arab consumers the premium content they want at an affordable price, and offers them greater control over what they watch, when they watch, and what device they watch it on. Ooredoo TV Go is a solid example of how to deliver the maximum value and convenience to customers.
