Former CEO Ramesh Srinivasan left Ooyala last November, with Issac Vaughn, Ooyalas SVP, corporate development and general counsel, stepping in as acting CEO as the company conducted its search for a successor.
“Ooyala has impressive potential and opportunity, said the companys CEO, Jonathan Huberman. I look forward to working with the team to help our customers continue to grow their business and to support our employees to drive the innovation needed to fulfill our ambitions.
Huberman also comes aboard a couple months after Ooyala reportedly laid off 14% of its workforce tied to a restructuring that would eventually create new job openings focused on new product areas.Prior to Ooyala, Huberman was the CEO of Syncplicity, a prominent software-as-a-service (SaaS) company for enterprise file collaboration. He led the company through its acquisition by Axway in February 2017.
