Orange Jordan has launched a new mobile TV service that enables its mobile subscribers to view HD content from channels with which it has exclusive content deals.
The launch is primarily aimed at youth in the country.
Channels presently streamed through the mobile TV platform include Al Jazeera, France 24 Arabic, MBC 1, Al Arabiya, Melody Hits, Melody Drama, Melody Movies, and Nagham Television.
At a recent press conference, Nayla Khawam, CEO of Orange Jordan said: “We were the first to introduce 3G+ technology to the Jordanian market, a move that substantially spurred the consumption of digital content. Our role, however, is not solely limited to the supply of high-speed internet connections that provide easy access to content, but also in devising creative services that redefine the quality and variety of digital content, as well as the channels through which it is delivered.”
