Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese has signed a multi-year deal with Apple to make films and TV projects for the company’s streaming platform Apple TV Plus.
Scorsese will produce the films through his company Sikelia Productions which already has notable films under its banner including Silence, The Wolf of Wall Street and The Departed.
Scorsese is already working on feature film Killers of the Flower Moon, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, for Apple.
The movie will appear on Apple TV Plus after it is distributed in theatres by Paramount Pictures, a unit of ViacomCBS.
It’s his second straight feature made for a streaming outlet, following The Irishman on Netflix.
