OSN has announced that it has expanded its licensing agreement with NBCUniversal Global Distribution to deliver even more premium content to viewers across the Middle East and in Arabic-speaking North Africa. Included will be movies such as Downton Abbey: A New Era, The Northman, Jurassic World Dominion, The Black Phone, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Beast (2022), Nope, Ticket to Paradise, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, among others.
OSN will be the exclusive home for NBCUniversal’s first-run content in the Middle East, including shows from Sky Studios and Universal Studio Group, giving viewers access to popular NBCU series including A Friend of The Family, New Amsterdam, Transplant, Gangs of London, A Discovery Of Witches, Bel-Air, Young Rock, Hacks, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago P.D. and Law & Order on OSN.
“Our focus remains driven by our relentless customer focus and putting them at the centre of everything we do. As such, we are thrilled to expand our deal with NBCUniversal Global Distribution to bring even more world-class entertainment to our viewers in the Middle East,” said Rolla Karam, Head of Content at OSN.
As part of the expanded agreement, OSN viewers will be treated to a wide variety of new series, as well as sitcom The Office, which was the most streamed TV show (in minutes viewed) in 2020, according to Nielsen. It will be available to stream on OSN+ in June. Other highly anticipated drama and comedy series will be part of the deal, adding even more value to the already extensive range of programming available on OSN.
In addition to movies and hit series, viewers will have access to a range of NBCUniversal news and current affairs programs. NBC Nightly News, Meet the Press, TODAY, Weekend TODAY, and MSNBC News Feed are all included in the deal, providing viewers with the most trusted and respected news sources in the world.
