Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) Dubai and German TV channel Motorvision have signed a four-year contract to distribute the pay TV channel in the MENA region.
The channel will launch on 12 November at the Dubai Car Show. Video content will also be available on Arvatos MENA mobile service from the end of 2011.
Speaking about the launch, Jochen Kröhne, managing director of Motorvision TV, commented: “The people in the UAE and in Germany share a big passion: They love elegant and fast cars.
The UAE channel will be in HD/3D English with Arabic subtitles. The channel launched in German-speaking Europe in 2009 and is aimed at the 16-35 year old male demographic.
Some of the other regions where launches are planned include Turkey, India and Canada.
