The 40th edition of Mipcom Cannes drew to a close on October 24, marking the presence of nearly 10,500 delegates, including 3240 buyers, from 110 countries. This is a slight decline from last year’s visitor count of 11,000. Organisers, RX France, attributed the fall to exhibitors reducing the size of attending teams.
Number of exhibitors at the market rose to 347, up from 320 last year. Of the 34 country pavilions participating this year, ten were new. The 3,240-strong buyer contingent was led by U.S. programmers, followed by U.K., France, Germany and Spain.
Sales and distribution remained the core of the market with 72 companies taking stands for the first time. Additionally, more than 60 companies participated at Mipcom’s numerous summits, ranging from FAST to AI, streaming and connected TV.
