No Other Land, directed by Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, was recognised as the Best Documentary Feature at the Gotham Awards. The film, made over the course of five years, provides a harrowing account of the destruction experienced by Masafer Yatta, a group of Palestinian villages in the southern West Bank, during the Israel-Hamas war.
The film also won the top documentary prize at the Berlin Film Festival in February. Despite being one of the year’s most acclaimed documentaries, No Other Land remains without an American distributor due to controversies surrounding comments made by Abraham while receiving the award at the Berlin Film Festival.
