A documentary about endangered species and conservation work around the world will premiere on Quest Arabiya in celebration of Earth Day.
The Conservationists documentary was commissioned by The Mohamed bin Zayed (MBZ) Species Conservation Fund to showcase the essential work carried out by some of the thousands of projects it supports throughout the globe.
The world-first screening headlines a special selection of programmes devoted to Earth Day that will educate and encourage green practices.
Viewers will be taken around the world to learn about the work being done to protect endangered species such as the Scalloped Hammerhead shark in Costa Rica, rare plants and trees of Hawaii, Sri Lankas Mugger crocodiles, the Togo Slippery frogs in Ghana and the Minnows (tiny fish) in Mexico.
Quest Arabiya, a free-to-air factual entertainment channel which broadcasts to an Arabic audience of 340 million in 45 million households across 22 countries in the MENA region, has also selected a stream of informative programs, which aim to celebrate our planet and the importance of preserving it.
In addition to The Conservationist Quest Arabiya has handpicked internationally acclaimed shows from Discovery Communications extensive library. Shows such as Animals Guide to Survival, Fearless Planet, Future Car, Raw Nature and Ways to Save the Planet will air for the first time in Arabic from 3pm 10pm.
In the week leading up to Earth Day the channel will be begin screening 24 specially made info-bytes that will include fascinating facts that celebrate our environment and tips and tricks for saving the planet.
The channels social media pages will be going green to celebrate Earth Day literally. As well as the colour change there will be posts about the importance of conserving the environment.

The Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund provides targeted grants to individual species conservation initiatives. It has funded nearly 1,500 projects working with endangered species across the world.
