Renowned actors Aamir Khan and Emily Blunt will be celebrated as Red Sea Honourees while Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Nick Jonas, Olivia Wilde and Michelle Yeoh will attend the In Conversation With strand.
The Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) has added to its celebrity guest list. Internationally renowned actors, Aamir Khan and Emily Blunt will be celebrated as Red Sea Honourees at the festival’s opening ceremony. The festival also added Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Nick Jonas, Olivia Wilde and Michelle Yeoh to its In Conversation With strand.
Award-winning Indian Cinema icon Aamir Khan(Dangal) and Academy Award nominee Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer) will be spot-lit on the opening night, alongside previously announced honouree Mona Zaki (Flight 404, Abserb: The Squadron), in recognition of their illustrious careers and lasting impact on the film industry. Additionally, previously announced Red Sea Honouree, Viola Davis (The Woman King, Fences) will be honoured during the Awards Ceremony.
Jomana Al-Rashid, Chairwoman of the Red Sea Film Foundation, remarked: “Our Red Sea Honourees represent a distinguished alumni of cinematic legends, and we are thrilled to welcome both Aamir Khan and Emily Blunt to our fourth edition’s opening night. This remarkable occasion allows us to celebrate their extraordinary achievements, honour their enduring contributions to the art of filmmaking, and explore the depth of their illustrious careers during the highly anticipated In Conversation sessions later in the festival.”
Aamir Khan added: “Cinema has been my lifelong passion, and to be amidst such an inspiring group of atistes from across the world is truly humbling. I am deeply honoured to be recognised by the Red Sea international Film festival as it celebrates the impact and magic of cinema. I look forward to sharing my experiences, learning from others, and collectively celebrating the art of storytelling that unites us all.”
Emily Blunt said: “I’m incredibly excited to be coming to the Red Sea Film Festival and grateful to be one of this year’s honourees. I love all that this festival is doing for innovative and emerging talent in the film industry. In particular, I’m enthused by how they are empowering women in cinema and amplifying their voices.”
The festival also announced additional speakers for the In Conversation With strand. New speakers include Saudi actors Ibrahim Alhasawi and Moshal Almutairi, award-winning actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Heads of State), actor and singer Nick Jonas (Power Ballad), actor and director Olivia Wilde(Don’t Worry Darling, Booksmart), and Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once). Both Aamir Khan and Emily Blunt will also join the prestigious lineup of speakers for the Festival’s In Conversation With strand. Previously announced speakers include Eva Longoria (Only Murders In The Building), Andrew Garfield (The Social Network, tick, tick…BOOM!) and Ranbir Kapoor (Animal).
