Red Sea International Film Festival has hosted a series of events at the 78th Venice Film Festival, including a gala evening designed to celebrate women in cinema and their achievements.
The gala celebrates women in cinema and their achievements in the industry, while supporting the festival’s mission to drive the support of women both in front of and behind the camera. This is part of RSFF’s presence in Venice, which is being spearheaded by Chairman of the Festival Committee Mohammed Al-Turki who is on a mission to bring Saudi cinema to the world.
Hollywood actresses Kate Hudson, Demi Moore and Eiza Gonzales were joined by Saudi star Fatima Al-Banawi, Tunisian film director Kaouther Ben Hania, Jordanian actress Saba Mubarak, Sara Mesfer and Lebanese television personality Raya Abirached at the star-studded gala.
Shivani Pandya Malhotra, Edouard Waintrop and Mohammed Al Turki from the Red Sea management team welcomed an array of film, TV and fashion talent from around the world including; Dani de Lio, Tarak Ben Ammar, Raya Abirached, Ester Expósito, Lous and the Yakuza, Jon Kortajarena Redruello; Lena Perminova, Soo-Joo Park, Adesuwa Aighewi, Kristina Romanova, Liza Yermalovich, Alton Mason, and Lorena Rae, Ahmed Al Mulla, Yagoub Al Farhan, Mujtaba Saeed, Almotaz Al Jefri and Faris Godus.
Red Sea Film Festival’s presence in Venice is a continuation of its mission to champion emerging talent and support Arab filmmakers.
Running from September 1-11, the Venice International Film Festival is the world’s oldest film festival.
