Red Sea International Film Festival has announced that applications for the 48-hour film challenge are open. Deadline for submissions is October 15.
The challenge is open to the Kingdom’s aspiring filmmakers, Saudi nationals and residents alike, aged 18 to 25. A team of not more than five members must submit their application explaining why they want to participate in this filmmaking challenge.
The team leader, who must be a Saudi national, must submit the form on behalf of the team.

Further, the winning team will be crowned for their achievements with a prize of filmmaking residency at La Fémis, in France, next year.
For the challenge, the participants must shoot a short film of three to six minutes duration. It can be fiction or non-fiction, narrative or documentary on themes including decoding, playing, creating, or thinking.
There will also be a sub-theme to include which participants can choose from memory, time, technology, or breath.
