Rivens will be responsible for developing and implementing product-line-specific marketing strategies, while Taylor will oversee Riedel's UK sales operations.
As part of a reorganisation of its marketing department, Riedel Communications has announced the promotions of Paul Rivens and Graham Taylor to the positions of product marketing manager and regional sales director for the UK, respectively.
In their new roles, Rivens will be responsible for developing and implementing product-line-specific marketing strategies for the company’s intercom and audio solutions, while Taylor will oversee operations for Riedel’s sales business in the UK.
A broadcast professional with over 40 years of sales experience in the international marketplace, Rivens joined Riedel in 2005 as business development director and has since held the positions of general manager for the UK and, most recently, regional sales director for the UK and Ireland. He came to Riedel from sales management roles at Telex Communications and Philip Drake Electronics.
Speaking about the role, Rivens said: “I’m thrilled to be undertaking a new challenge at Riedel and am grateful for the opportunity. I’m looking forward to leveraging my experience and industry knowledge to develop successful campaign strategies for a rapidly diversifying product lineup and working closely with the marketing team to regionalise them.”
Taylor brings 26 years of sales management experience in the broadcast sector to his new role at Riedel. He joined the company in 2015 as a UK broadcast sales manager. In this position, he was responsible for half the Riedel UK revenue and helped double the UK market in his seven-year tenure. With his extensive computer networking and broadcast technology knowledge, Taylor has been a major contributor to Riedel’s success in the video market and has guided numerous high-profile customers on their way to an IP future. He came to Riedel from Wohler Technologies, where he held the role of EMEA sales director. Previously, at Boxer Systems, he served as sales manager for the Test and Measurement Division.
Taylor added: “With the recent restructuring of our organisation and a range of revolutionary IP video solutions on the horizon, it’s a momentous time at Riedel. I couldn’t be more excited to be starting my next chapter with the company and can’t wait to bring our latest solutions to our UK customers.”
