Prince Alwaleeds Rotana Group has launched a new general entertainment TV channel for the Egyptian market. The Group has hired Turki AlShabanah as vice president of the channel.
The new channel aimed at Egyptians will feature shows, series and movies and will also air a programme presented by Dr Hala Sarhan, president of Rotana Studios.
The new channel further confirms our strong commitment to the Egyptian viewers and Rotanas plans to expand its presence in Egypt, said Fahad Alsukait, CEO Rotana Group.
We continue to believe in the strong market growth Egypt will enjoy medium to long term and our investment in the new channel is to express such confidence and fits with the business plan of the group.
