Roya TV emerged as the most-watched local and regional television station in Jordan during Ramadan 2024, according to the latest Ipsos study on viewership trends.
The Ipsos survey revealed Roya TV’s viewership rates and audience interactivity with its entertainment programmes and competitions. Roya TV achieved the highest daily viewership rate of 50.3%, reflecting the audience’s trust in its diverse and high-quality programmes, reinforcing it as the preferred choice for entertainment and news.
Roya News Service also demonstrated significant superiority during Ramadan, becoming a reliable source for news broadcasting. The Ipsos survey indicated that the Roya News bulletin, aired between 6:00 – 6:15 PM, ranked first with a viewership rate of 6.8% of all programmes aired during that time.
This success is attributed to Roya’s credible news coverage, characterised by rapid response to events and comprehensive analysis of local and international facts. Consequently, Roya TV has become the primary source for viewers seeking accurate news.
Notably, the youth demographic (ages 15-24) constituted about 30% of Roya TV’s news viewers, attracting various age groups and covering all governorates of the kingdom.
Roya’s Kitchen programmes also yielded remarkable results during Ramadan 2024. Kitchen with Nabil achieved a viewership rate of 8.9%, the highest for a cooking show nationwide. Additionally, Aqwa Sofra had a viewership rate of 8.7% among adults aged 15 and above, while Yalla Notbokh achieved a viewership rate of 7.3%. These percentages reflect the wide appeal and significant success of Roya TV’s cooking programmes, which offer recipes and valuable tips in an engaging presentation style.
During Ramadan, Roya’s digital platforms saw a significant increase in user interaction. The number of unique users on Roya’s platforms reached 3,628,046, and the social media follower base expanded with 750,547 new followers. Roya TV’s website and application achieved a total of 39,514,826 views, maintaining its position at the forefront of local sites and among the most active in the Arab world.
