French private radio broadcaster RTL France will change its two legacy automation systems to dira! Radio Production and Automation Suite from SCISYS Deutschland GmbH.
In a first phase of the project, starting in April 2017 the switch over from the legacy system will be implemented at the RTL 2 and Fun Radio stations, equipping seven newly furbished, state-of-the-art, radio studios. The second phase in 2018 will then be implemented at the RTL Radio station equipping additional two studios.
Already used at world renowned broadcasters like the BBC in the UK or the ARD group in Germany, the dira! Radio Production and Automation system offers RTL France the newest state of the art software based on a standard Windows client-server IT platform. From ingest, over editing, to playout and archiving, the dira! product suite offers all the modules a broadcaster needs to captivate its audience on a daily basis. said Michael Thielen, Head of International Business at SCISYS Deutschland GmbH.

In the last phase of the project, SCISYS Deutschland GmbH will implement the dira! Radio Production and Automation Suite in the 30 regional RTL France radio studios completing the changeover from RTLs two legacy systems to a single dira! playout platform used by over 500 users.
