Speakers from RTS Intercoms will be in Dubai to discuss new developments within IP and showcase the company's newly launched ODIN OMNEO digital matrix to broadcast professionals.
RTS Intercoms will host an evening briefing at Arjaan by Rotana, Dubai Media City, tomorrow, May 8 to discuss new developments within IP and showcase its newly launched ODIN OMNEO digital matrix to MENA broadcast professionals.
ODIN is a single rack unit that is able to work with RTS other recent IP introductions, including the ROAMEO wireless system and KP-Series panels, as well as existing analogue key panels. Based on RTS’ OMNEO networking platform, which uses Dante audio over IP for media transport and OCA (Open Control Architecture) to control operations, ODIN can be integrated to form large-scale communication installations. It can be built up from an initial 16 ports to 128 ports. By using an optical Inter-Frame Link connection, eight ODIN units can produce up to 1024 ports.
In the broadcast market, ODIN is aimed at both OB trucks and TV studio control rooms where space is at a premium and budgets tight.
Speakers from RTS will discuss the compatibility of the product with both the AES67 AoIP interoperability and AES70 open control architecture standards. Operation, set-up and configuration of ODIN is carried out through a colour graphical interface. RTS has updated the AZedit and IPedit software programmes to run more advanced configuring functions.
As well as connections for OMNEO and IP, based on RJ45 circuits, ODIN is also able to work with analogue two- and four-wire intercom systems. In addition, it can interconnect with DECT-based ROAMEO wireless belt packs and DK-Series key panels.
Our aim is to familiarise the industry with the ODIN while also show them how to leverage our new IP technology to future proof their studios, commented Sanjay Kumar, Sales Manager, RTS Intercoms MEA.
