Fourteen Russian companies will present more than 60 projects in Dubai International Content Market.
The Russian film industry will be participating in the Dubai International Content Market (DICM) 2022 for the second year in a row. New products from Russian companies under the umbrella brand Russian Content Worldwide (RCW) will be available for international content buyers.
The RCW stand is organised by ROSKINO – an organisation representing the Russian audiovisual industry in the international markets.
Speaking about the event, Inna Shalyto, CEO of ROSKINO, said: “We appreciate the potential of the DICM market to show off new Russian content and for showing us the trends in the MENA media industry and its audiences. Dubai is one of the centres of the content industry in the Middle East—so we also use the opportunity to organise business dialogues with key players in the UAE and the wider MENA region. Moreover, from November 25 to 27 in Dubai we are organising the Russian Film Festival to present recent Russian movies and animations for local citizens and guests of Dubai. So, having these two events we promote the Russian film industry both in a professional environment and among a wide audience.”
Among Russian feature films and series that will be presented at the DICM market include the family comedy Chebi: My Fluffy Friend, sports dramas Eleven Silent Men and KAMAZ.Extreme Racing, historical projects Tobol, Ekaterina. Pretenders and the large-scale historical drama Union of Salvation. The Age of Wrath. There will be also documentaries among the projects, which includes Arctic. The Great Expedition and High Point.
The feature films and series will be presented by the following Russian companies: All Media (a START company); online cinemas START и KION; Production company Sreda; one of the top Russian broadcasters NTV; Sovtelexport (the official content distributor of Russia Television and Radio); and Pimanov&Partners: Odin-Media, Russkoe Film Company.
A large number of Russian projects presented in Dubai are animations. They are presented by SMF Animation, RIKI Group, Parovoz Animation Studio, Digital TV Russia, and X-Media Digital.
