SAE Institute Dubai, which is run in partnership with Abu Dhabi-based media free zone twofour54, has installed DaVinci Resolve with Resolve Control Surface as the core technology for its new set of courses teaching colour correction and colour grading as part of the Institutes Bachelor of Film Production degree programme.
The course is aimed at training students on high-performance colour correction solutions.
DaVinci Resolve has been used to grade many feature films, TVCs, documentaries, episodic television productions and music videos including recent box office hits such as Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, The Woman in Black, Man on a Ledge, and Underworld Awakening.
Thousands of colourists worldwide understand the performance and workflow of DaVinci Resolve and love it.
It is the name behind the biggest feature films and television content, which means our students now have access to the most professional level of colour correction, said Predrag Toncev, campus manager at SAE Institute Dubai.
Weve always focused on investing in the best technology in order to prepare our students for the strict standards and skills demand that they will face in the industry. DaVinci Resolve has a legacy and reputation that we are happy to support and use to train our students, said Toncev.
SAE Institute Dubai colour correction courses are set to launch in late September 2012.
