Samir Abdulhadi, president and CEO of Orbit Group, has been appointed chairman of Panther Media Group Limited (the owning company of Orbit Showtime Network) for a period of two years.
Abdulhadi took over from Faisal Al Ayyar from August 10, 2011.
OSN was formed in July 2009 after ORBIT GROUP merged their pay-TV operations with Showtime Arabia to form the new company and create the leading pay-Television platform in the Middle East and North Africa.
Samir Abdulhadi is president and CEO of Orbit Group and vice chairperson of Saudi Chemical Company. He is also a member of the Executive and Compensation Committees and serves as chairman of the Board of Meed Holding and chairman of the Board of Noorsat WLL.
Abdulhadi has assisted extensively in supporting and guiding the future growth of OSN. The network has achieved many milestones since the merger including offering the latest exclusive high definition content and HD VOD services delivered through a platform that is secured from piracy.
