MoU aims to establish a cooperation framework in space exploration, Earth observation, space technology, and training.
Algeria and Italy have signed five memoranda of understanding to boost bilateral cooperation during Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Melonis visit to the North African nation.
Among the five MoUs, one of the agreements is to cooperate peacefully in outer space exploration. The objective of the MoU is to establish a cooperation framework in space exploration, Earth observation, space technologies and training, to implement projects of mutual interest.
According to Space in Africa, the MoU will remain valid for five years and will be a bilateral collaboration between Algeria and Italy on projects of common interest through exchanging knowledge in space science and technology. Furthermore, both parties would engage in joint seminars and workshops, infrastructural project development, implementation of training programmes, and conducting research projects.
