The new service agreement outlines an 18 month joint project under which Marshall will deploy engineering expertise to support AMMROC in attaining UAE Military Design Organisation Approval.

Al Ain-based AMMROC, a provider of military maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) solutions in the region, has entered into a strategic service agreement with Marshall, the British aerospace engineering services provider. The partnership is to upgrade and modernise the C-130 fleet, enhancing operational readiness and extending the aircrafts service life.
The agreement was formally announced during the opening day of IDEX 2025, with a signing ceremony attended by AMMROC CEO Jasem Al Marzooqi and John Davis, Head of Service Development for Marshalls Aero Engineering Services business, alongside senior representatives from both organisations.
Under this 18-month collaboration, Marshall will deploy its engineering expertise to support AMMROC in securing UAE Military Design Organisation Approval (MDOA). As part of the initial phase, Marshall is preparing to send a team of engineers to AMMROCs state-of-the-art MRO facilities in Al Ain, where they will work closely with local teams to enhance maintenance operations.
The partnership will see both companies providing advanced engineering and technical support solutions for C-130 aircraft, aiming to improve fleet efficiency and long-term operational performance. By aligning with global military standards and best practices, the initiative is set to optimise fleet capabilities and ensure mission readiness for defence customers in the UAE and beyond.
Beyond fleet maintenance, the collaboration is also geared toward strengthening local capabilities through structured knowledge transfer and specialised training programmes. This initiative supports the UAEs ambition to become a global hub for defence aviation excellence. By combining Marshalls expertise in aircraft sustainment and modifications with AMMROCs extensive regional presence and cutting-edge facilities, the partnership will contribute to the long-term growth and self-sufficiency of the regions defence aviation sector.
Commenting on the deal, Jasem Al Marzooqi, CEO of AMMROC, said: “Signing this agreement reflects the strategic nature of our collaboration with Marshall and reaffirms AMMROCs commitment to driving excellence in defence sector and defence aviation maintenance. By strengthening this partnership, we are reinforcing our position as a trusted service provider for defence forces while expanding the UAEs leadership in advanced MRO solutions. Together, we will introduce new sustainment capabilities, optimize fleet readiness, and enhance operational efficiency for our customers.”
Bob Baxter, Chief Growth Officer at Marshall, added: “We are proud to formalise our partnership with AMMROC through this first joint project. This agreement brings together Marshalls extensive expertise in C-130 engineering and sustainment solutions with AMMROCs world-class MRO capabilities, ensuring we deliver highly effective, tailored solutions that enhance fleet performance and mission readiness for military operators worldwide.”
The signing of this agreement demonstrates the strategic importance of supporting regional and international defence aviation. This partnership follows the MoU announced earlier in 2025, deepening the relationship between the two companies and paving the way for new advancements in MRO capabilities.
