The Baku teleport provides tracking and monitoring services of signals received from satellites.
Azercosmos Teleport has announced the renewal of its Tier 4 compliance certificate from the World Teleport Association (WTA). This marks the second consecutive renewal since the initial award in 2020, showcasing Azercosmos Teleport’s consistent adherence to high-quality and technological standards over the past three years.
The Tier 4 certification, now renewed for the Baku Teleport, situated at the Main Ground Control Center, signifies the ongoing assurance of top-notch service quality for Azercosmos Teleport’s valued customers. It also presents an opportunity for international organisations to conduct audits, scrutinising the infrastructure, equipment, and procedures implemented at the teleport.
At the heart of operations, the Baku Teleport provides critical monitoring and control services for signals received from satellites. Beyond this, it offers a spectrum of services, including hosting, encompassing the installation, operation, and storage of ground stations owned by global companies. Boasting a vast area and currently operating with nearly 20 antennas, Baku Teleport’s strategic position is instrumental in supporting the establishment of business-focused infrastructures for global companies in Azerbaijan.
Fuad Aslanov, Deputy Chairman of Azercosmos, said: “One of the most valuable assets for us is a service quality which leads to customer satisfaction. Renewal of Tier 4 certification is proof that the conditions and services provided to our partners meet high standards.”
The World Teleport Association’s Teleport Certification Programme serves as an internationally accepted benchmark for documenting the quality of operational services offered by teleport operators. With over 75 teleport operators worldwide currently possessing the Tier 4 certificate, this recognition reinforces Azercosmos Teleport’s position as a distinguished player in the global telecommunications landscape.
