Dus participation in the IGCF underscores a mutual commitment to advancing societal progress and global partnerships by adopting innovative communication strategies and tackling modern-day challenges.
Du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), has confirmed its participation in the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF), organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau. This involvement reflects dus ongoing dedication to advancing communication standards and enriching cultural initiatives across the UAE.
The IGCF, held in Sharjah, serves as a platform for discussions on best practices in government communication. The 13th edition of the forum will focus on the future of communication in resilient governments, addressing how rapid technological advancements and societal changes are reshaping governance. This years theme, Agile Governments Innovative Communication, emphasises the crucial role of forward-thinking communication strategies in enhancing government effectiveness and preparing for future challenges.
Speaking about the participation, Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Executive Officer at du, said: “The IGCF is a great opportunity for du to be a part of Sharjah’s visionary approach to culture and communication. Sharjah stands as a beacon of cultural richness and communicative excellence, and through our support for such pivotal events, we aim to bolster the Emirates status while underscoring the importance of effective government communication in fostering community and global partnerships.”
The IGCF will explore various aspects of government communication through insightful sessions, including the global competition for talent and innovative strategies governments use to attract and integrate key individuals for development. The forum will also examine how smart economic activities can leverage “soft power” to build trust and stimulate growth, reflecting the dynamic nature of modern governance.
One session will spotlight the “Silver Economy,” discussing the valuable contributions of older generations to society and the economy, with success stories like Khaled’s highlighting this potential. Another critical session will address the “Information Wars” and the challenges of “Communication Globalisation,” focusing on the dangers of misinformation and the strategic importance of global communication in shaping societal narratives.
These discussions reinforce du’s commitment to the IGCF and its broader mission to enhance the discourse on government communication strategies.
