The agreement is part of the framework for various Egyptian universities to develop space sciences and technologies that can bring about sustainable development.
Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA) and Alexandria University (AU) have signed an agreement for the project Educational Laboratory Satellites Related to the Education Platform for Egyptian Space Technology by establishing an educational laboratory at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alexandria.
Dr Mohamed Iraqi, Executive Vice President of EgSA, stressed that the agreement is part of the framework for various Egyptian universities to develop space sciences and technologies that can bring about sustainable development. He also mentioned that this is a way to provide unique opportunities for students to understand and explore the design and workings of satellites.
He also mentioned that the Egyptian space agency is interested in supporting research, study and education programmes in space science and technology and promoting the exploitation of their results.
He concluded that the constructive and positive collaboration between the Egyptian Space Agency and Alexandria University will produce a capable and conscious generation that will compete for space exploration around the world.
