Eutelsat is also presenting its hybrid GEO-LEO network alongside various video and connectivity solutions.
At CABSAT 2024, the Eutelsat Group is showcasing its Sat.tv solution, an advanced electronic programme and TV guide specifically designed for free-to-air channels. Attendees can witness live demonstrations of Sat.tv in Hall 3, where its seamless integration into both mass-market satellite receivers and Connected TVs with built-in satellite tuners is being highlighted.
Sat.tv is enabling broadcasters to connect with new audiences daily. By being embedded in low-cost chipsets, Sat.tv is set for mass-market distribution in free-to-air satellite receivers and is also being introduced in connected TVs with integrated satellite tuners.
Beyond Sat.tv, Eutelsat is also presenting its hybrid GEO-LEO network alongside various video and connectivity solutions. Live demonstrations will feature NativeIP satellite streaming solutions and an innovative EPG for FTA TV channels, both aimed at improving content delivery and viewer engagement.
A key highlight at the Eutelsat stand is the DVB-NIP standard, which tackles the challenge of delivering high-quality OTT content in areas with limited local internet connectivity. This technology uses broadcast channels such as satellite to distribute IP-native mABR content, ensuring reliable content delivery.
Eutelsats showcase also includes the integration of satellite distribution with a cloud-based production and distribution workflow for next-generation Direct-to-Home (DTH) solutions and 5G network feeding.
