The Kenya Space Agency (KSA) is conducting a two-week Cubesat training course, organised in collaboration with the Italian Space Agency (Agenzia Spaziale Italiana). The programme is being hosted at the International Space Centre for Space Education at the Luigi Broglio Space Centre in Malindi. The training runs from October 28 to November 8, 2024, and focuses on practical skill development in Cubesat design and technology.
Experts from the Italian Space Agency and professors from the Sapienza University of Rome are leading the course, which aims to provide participants with hands-on experience in nanosatellite development. The Cubesat Training Course will equip participants with essential skills in satellite development, actively bridging the technology gap in Kenyas space science sector. Furthermore, this initiative marks a significant step toward building indigenous technical capabilities to drive future advancements in Kenyas space technology.
