Lockheed is a strategic investor and partner of Terran Orbital, which manufactures Lockheed's 150 kg LM-50 bus.
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has awarded Terran Orbital Corporation a contract for three microsatellite class payloads in support of product demonstration.
Speaking about the contract, Marc Bell, Co-Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Terran Orbital, said: “We are thrilled Terran Orbital will be part of another programme with Lockheed Martin. Terran Orbital has previously announced that it entered into a business combination agreement with Tailwind Two Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company, pursuant to which Terran Orbital will combine with Tailwind Two.
