The development of interplanetary missions, advanced terrestrial analogy systems, and higher education activities dedicated to space exploration are some of the areas of cooperation.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Italys Thales Alenia Space Italia (TAS-I) and the Aerospace Logistics Technology Engineering Company (ALTEC). The MoU seeks to identify opportunities to study and develop solutions for space and planetary exploration systems.
The MoU was signed by Salem AlMarri, Deputy Director-General, MBRSC, Massimo Claudio, Managing Director, TAS-I and Vincenzo Giorgo, CEO, ALTEC on the sidelines of the International Astronautical Congress, the global space event, being held at the World Trade Centre in Dubai.
The preliminary areas of cooperation identified include interplanetary missions development, rover system design and integration, advanced terrestrial analogous systems, higher education activities dedicated to space exploration and development systems, among others.
Commenting on the deal, Yousuf Hamad AlShaibani, Director General, MBRSC said: We welcome this Memorandum of Understanding which formalises and strengthens our partnership with Thales Alenia Space and ALTEC. We look forward to continuing to build on our constructive co-operation in the interest of enhancing space exploration projects.
