Neo Space Group (NSG), a company under Saudi Arabias Public Investment Fund (PIF) and a provider of commercial space services, has announced the appointment of Dr Mark Dickinson as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over 25 years of experience in satellite communications, Dickinson is set to spearhead NSGs technological innovations and solidify its role as a key player in the global space industry.
Dickinson has a distinguished track record, having held leadership positions at Inmarsat and Viasat, where he drove advancements in satellite technologies. His achievements include managing a fleet of 15 geostationary satellites, overseeing $1bn in spacecraft and launch procurement and facilitating the acquisition of Airbus’ software-defined satellite, Onesat. Through collaborations with aerospace leaders such as Boeing and Lockheed Martin, Dickinson has enhanced global satellite capabilities while promoting sustainable space operations.

At Inmarsat, he led the design, procurement and deployment of advanced space assets. Notable projects included working with Aramco on precision navigation spacecraft and augmenting 4G networks, highlighting his ability to integrate technologies into real-world applications. As Chairman of the Space Data Association, Dickinson championed initiatives for space safety and sustainability, earning recognition as a forward-thinking industry leader.

He will also oversee investments in cutting-edge space technologies, advancing the companys mission to deliver disruptive solutions to global markets.
