Orbit Communication Systems, a global provider of maritime and airborne SATCOM terminals, tracking ground station solutions, and mission-critical airborne audio management systems, has secured significant contracts totalling $36.7m, solidifying its position in the defence market.
The company finalised an agreement with the Israeli Ministry of Defense for supplying advanced communication systems valued at approximately $16.6m. Additionally, a $16.5m frame contract was secured with the US Air Force for the upgrade, service, and maintenance of Orbits Airborne Digital Audio System (ADAS) communications management systems in KC-135 aircraft. This contract spans an additional 60 months, emphasizing Orbits commitment to ensuring high-level maintenance and performance of advanced communication systems.
In addition, Orbit received a $3.6m order from a leading European integrator for satellite communication systems for naval military platforms. The OceanTRx4 systems included in the order will provide continuous broadband satellite connectivity to a prominent European fleet starting in 2026.
