In its pavilion, Saudi Arabia will teach visitors about the Kingdoms international space experience, as well as its historical interest in space.
Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, CEO of Saudi Space Commission, is leading the Kingdom’s delegation to the 73rd International Astronautical Conference in Paris, which is held in Paris until September 22, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
In a statement, IAC said: “With the theme Space for @ll we would like to make this IAC an outstanding occasion to bring together all space communities, alongside the burgeoning global ecosystem and start-ups, entrepreneurs, laboratories, research scientists and manufacturers that could get involved in space activities or benefit from them. Special attention will be paid to students and young professionals, who will be closely associated through dedicated events. And the general public will not be forgotten, as space-themed conferences and exhibitions will accompany IAC.”
More than 8,500 people are participating in the conference, including heads of space agencies from China, the US, Europe, India, Japan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The event provides recent space information and developments in academia and industry, along with networking opportunities, contacts, and potential partnerships.
The Saudi Arabian delegation will highlight the Kingdoms role and pioneering experience in the space sector, as well as its future ambitions, while also strengthening ties with various international bodies in the field of space and its technologies.
It will include participation from the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Neom, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
