The Board of Directors of STC Bahrain has announced the appointment of Eng. Khalid bin Baijan Al Osaimi as the new CEO of STC Bahrain, effective April 28, 2024, succeeding Eng. Nezar Banabeela.
In response to the leadership transition, Eng. Moaeed Alsaloom, Chairman of the Board of Directors of STC Bahrain, expressed confidence in Eng. Khalid Al-Osaimi’s appointment, citing his extensive experience spanning over 22 years in driving transformation within the region’s telecommunications sector. Alsaloom emphasised Al-Osaimi’s profound understanding of the telecommunications industry and the evolving digital transformation landscape, foreseeing significant contributions to stc Bahrain’s strategic growth as a digital champion. Al-Osaimi’s expertise is expected to facilitate the adaptation of the enterprise and business sector to digital transformation by leveraging STC Bahrain’s innovative digital services.
With a tenure of more than two decades within the STC Group, Eng. Khalid Al-Osaimi has held various leadership roles, including Technology, Mobile, carriers, and Wholesale. Notably, he served as the Vice President of Marketing for the Wholesale business at Mobily since 2022.
Eng. Al-Osaimi boasts academic achievements, holding a Bachelor’s degree in computer science and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from King Saud University in Riyadh.
The Board of Directors of STC Bahrain extended gratitude to the outgoing CEO, Eng. Nezar Banabeela, for his leadership and contributions over the years, wishing him success in his new role within the stc Group as Head of Special Projects.
