Visitors to IPTC 2020 will be able to view and test Thurayas voice, broadband and IoT/M2M solutions for land, maritime and aero platforms from January 13 to 15.
Thuraya Telecommunications Company, a subsidiary of the Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), has announced that it is participating in the 12th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) in Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
At IPTC 2020, Thuraya will demonstrate the flexibility of its EnergyComms portfolio, by highlighting its effectiveness for operations near pipelines, rigs and in other regions beyond the range of land-based networks.
On display will be a selection of popular IoT/M2M, land, maritime and aeronautical terminals including Thuraya T2M-DUAL, Thuraya IP+, Thuraya MarineStar, Thuraya Aero and a range of handsets such as the Thuraya X5-Touch android satellite touch phone.
Thurayas communication systems promise to ensure interoperability among multiple users in different geographies. By providing always-on connectivity for key energy applications such as tracking remote assets, pipeline monitoring, oil and gas SCADA and smart metering, Thurayas technology aims to hasten the digitalisation of oilfields for major operational and cost savings.
