The aim of the content exhibition is to bring together both local and international content experts with the aim of encouraging co-productions and commercial cooperation.
Saudi Arabia will host its first large-scale international content market this month from February 12-13 at the Fairmont Hotel in Riyadh, the Kingdom’s capital following the success of the Prodex Content Market in KSA last year. The Saudi Prodex Content Market is being organised by 3Dimensions, an events entity in the Kingdom.
Although not much information is available about the event, the Prodex web site seems to suggest that more than 100 companies will be participating in the event, including Saudi Broadcast Corporation, Kuwait TV, Sharjah Radio and TV authority, Zee, Rotana, Deutsche Welle and other media houses looking to be part of Saudi Arabia’s newly opened entertainment sector.
“Our objective is to support the growing demand of the Saudi Content market. This can be achieved if we encourage co-productions and co-operation with international companies that can bring the quality and expertise that we need,” commented Riyadh Najm, Chair of the Organising Committee for Saudi Prodex.
“It is the perfect place to directly meet with decision-makers and investors who are looking for these opportunities in the content creation space – this supports Saudi’s 2030 vision, which is currently our main priority as media professionals.”
