The films will compete in three categories, which includes feature films, short films, and the unexecuted scenario.
Saudi Film Festival has set March 31, 2022, as the last date for submitting applications for participation in the eighth edition through its website, which will be held at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in Dammam with the support of the Saudi Film Commission, from June 2 to 9, 2022.
During the festival, which will bring together local, Arab, and international stakeholders specialised in cinema and its industry, participants will compete in three categories – features, short films, and unexecuted scenarios.
The festival will be accompanied by various events, workshops and seminars specialised in the film industry, in addition to the printing of books specialised in cinematic fields.
In the current edition, the festival’s management opened the door for Gulf filmmakers to participate in the “Gulf Film Awards”.
The festival, in its previous seven editions, featured 865 films, and 1,043 unexecuted scripts.
