The agreement includes the establishment of official headquarters for Sputnik in Saudi Arabia and comes on the sidelines of Russian President Putin's recent visit to the Kingdom.
Turki bin Abdullah al-Shabanah, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Media, signed a memorandum of media cooperation with Dmitry Kiselyov, Director – General of Rossiya Segodnya International News Agency ‘Sputnik’ earlier this week, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The deal will see the two parties implement projects designed to develop media coverage as well as objective and professional coverage of various events in the political, economic, social, cultural, humanitarian, sports and other domains in order to enhance the relationship between Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation.

The signing ceremony at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh comes on the sidelines of the Russian President Vladimir Putin’s current state visit to the Kingdom.
