The sessions, which will take place on a monthly basis, are free for anyone interested in attending.
The King Abdul Aziz Center for World Culture’s (Ithra) theatre department is offering free online classes for aspiring directors in the region, according to Arab News.
Ithra is offering online sessions on a monthly basis, covering online classes and interviews with creatives free for anyone interested in attending, despite having reopened for public post-lockdown.
One of the sessions in performing arts will be held by Ithra’s theatre coordinator Hadeel Mufti.
Apart from the online classes, Ithra is also inviting emerging Saudi and Saudi based artists who are interested in pursuing a career in the arts to participate in the second edition of the Open Call for Emerging Saudi Artists.
Ten selected shortlisted artists will have the extraordinary opportunity to partake in a five-day virtual training program led by experts in the field.
The winning artist will be called upon to produce a new artwork that will be exhibited in Ithra’s upcoming contemporary art exhibition, alongside a number of established international and local artists.
