Sharjah Broadcasting Authority has designated two platforms for Sharjah Radio and Pulse 95 to cover the event.
The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) has prepared a comprehensive and live coverage for the 10th edition of the International Government Communications Forum. Under the theme ‘Historic lessons, Future ambitions’, the event will be held at Expo Centre Sharjah on September 26 and 27.
The forum will bring together 79 communication experts from 11 Arab and foreign countries.
SBA will launch a special coverage plan across its TV and radio stations to cover IGCF’s events, including workshops, seminars, and keynote speeches, throughout the two-day forum organised by Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB). Furthermore, they will conduct exclusive interviews with government officials, experts and guests, through professional on-ground teams at the event.
Sharjah TV will cover the event through live transmission, as well as broadcast the segments through Akhbar Al Dar news bulletins, and it will also record the sessions, training workshops, and interactive discussions.
Pulse 95 Radio will broadcast live from the Expo Centre, under a dedicated programme titled ‘Pulse 95 LIVE from IGCF 2021’ between 12-2 PM. It will also cover the entire event, including the opening and closing ceremonies, workshops, and sessions. In addition, radio hosts AbdulKarim Hanif, Ahmad Dawud, and Rania Saadi will interview the IGCF experts and VIP guests.
Sharjah Radio will launch the ‘Communication point’ programme. Hazza Al Shehhi, Sheikha bin Khamis, and reporter Aisha Al-Hamoudi will host key guests participating in the forum to discuss the key pillars of IGCF. The television station will also organise a session titled The Future of Radio, where the host will bring together young people who will share their thoughts, comments, and recommendations with decision-makers.
SBA’s affiliate Sharjah Media Training Centre will be organizing two workshops during the forum. Trainer Mazen Al Haj will lead the first workshop titled How to create your film, held twice daily at 12 PM and 2 PM. Anas Al Mari will present the Digital content Industry’ workshop, which will run at 2 PM and 4 PM on day one, and at 10 AM and 2 PM on day two.
Mohamed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of SBA, said: “Our work in the authority stems from a clear vision that believes in the role of media as a partner in the success of any journey or project. SBA and IGCF work towards the same common goals that support Sharjah’s development journey and supporting communication channels between the local community and government bodies. Furthermore, SBA and the international forum are partners on a quest to utilize the most effective government communication practices that impact the public. IGCF is a unique event and outcome of Sharjah’s efforts to advance government communications in the region and the world, that asserts the role of successful messaging in aligning government policies with the needs and ambitions of the communities. Based on that, we are keen on providing exceptional comprehensive coverage of the event that reflects its value and impact and supports Sharjah’s vision and development project.
