Sean Doyle has been promoted to the position of executive director of unscripted originals at Disney+ EMEA. Doyle was previously Chief of Unscripted at the streamer.
The title change was made in concert with Doyle’s scripted counterpart, Lee Mason, receiving the same designation on his side, reported Deadline. Doyle and Mason’s roles would remain similar and that they would not be taking on any additional responsibilities.
Doyle joined the UK arm of Disney’s streaming operation in January 2021, after serving as deputy head of features and formats at Channel 4. During his tenure at Disney+, he has mounted UK streaming originals such as Save Our Squad with David Beckham; the Keanu Reeves–fronted Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story; Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, and the music docuseries Camden, from Oscar-winning director Asif Kapadia and executive producer Dua Lipa.
