The series will run at a pace of one episode per week, over a period of two months through the OSN Streaming app and the OSN Box of Wonders.
Pay-TV network OSN is set to premiere the second season of The Mandalorian on October 30. Airing exclusively on OSN as part of the Disney+ Originals partnership launched in April, the latest episodes will be available through the OSN Streaming app and the OSN Box of Wonders at exactly the same time as it is broadcast in the US.
The series will run at a pace of one episode per week, over a period of two months.
Picking up where the first season left off, The Mandalorian season two follows The Mandalorian and the Child as they continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.
Pedro Pascal continues in the title role, with co-stars Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. The season’s directors include creator Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Peyton Reed (Ant-Man) and Robert Rodriguez (Desperado, From Dusk till Dawn).
Commenting on the premiere, Rolla Karam, Interim Chief Content Officer at OSN said: “After the resounding success of its first season, we can’t wait to launch The Mandalorian season two. The highly acclaimed live-action Star Wars spin-off series was among the first Disney+ Originals that we launched on OSN when we acquired the exclusive rights to Disney+ Originals for the region in April this year, and it has been one of the highest watched shows in our portfolio.
“In a short span of six months, we have seen an extremely positive response to Disney+ Originals content, which includes some of the best-known names in entertainment including Marvel, Pixar and National Geographic. The Disney+ partnership complements our wider offering to give our viewers the best of family entertainment at affordable subscription packages.”
