Stone joined Shock Middle East in March 2017 as the Dance 97.8 weekend presenter. She is the second presenter Shock has lost this year after James Eli Aramouni's passing in January 2019.
Shock Middle East has announced the sudden passing of Lucy Stone late last week in the UK.
Aged 38, Stone joined Shock Middle East in March 2017 as the Dance 97.8 weekend presenter. In February 2018 she took over the drive show to become one of the station’s leading presenters and authority on dance music in the UAE.
Cameron Plant, Group MD, Shock Middle East said: “Lucy was an instrumental member of the Shock Middle East family and we are deeply saddened to hear of her passing. We will miss her energy, dedication and her commitment to radio. Lucy was very popular amongst her peers and she will be deeply missed by her friends and family. We kindly ask everyone to respect the privacy of her family during this difficult time.”
Shock has lost two presenters this year. James Eli Aramouni, also a well-loved presenter on Dance FM, died in January 2019.
