Sky News Arabia has confirmed its participation in the second edition of the Global Media Congress, set to take place in Abu Dhabi from November 14 to 16, 2023. Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to engage in insightful workshops presented by the Sky News Arabia Academy. These workshops are designed to shed light on the most significant issues, developments, and trends in the Arab and global media landscape.
The workshop themes are closely aligned with the focal points of this year’s Global Media Congress, which will be held in Workshop Hall 1 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The workshops will encompass topics such as sustainable media, innovation, youth, education, and the future of media.
On November 14, from 11 AM to 12 PM, a workshop titled “Sky News Arabia’s Sustainability and Climate Change Coverage” will be led by senior news and programme presenter Chantal Saliba. The workshop aims to enlighten the audience about Sky News Arabia’s extensive coverage of sustainability and climate change, with a focus on its ‘Our Planet’ programme.
On November 15, news and programme presenter Imane Lahrache will conduct the “Developing Your TV Skills” workshop from 11 AM to 12 PM. This session will provide guidance for aspiring talents on building a confident media persona, focusing on body language, communication, camera interaction, vocal tone, breathing techniques, and other essential skills.
On the third day, November 16, Head of Digital Transformation, Roland Barbar, will present the workshop titled “Successful Digital Transformation Strategies” to shed light on the latest trends and transformations in the digital media landscape. Participants will gain insights into practical strategies discussed during the session, which will help them embark on their professional journey in the digital media world.
Visitors at the event will also have the opportunity to participate in a series of brief workshops in Hall 11, introducing them to the most recent media trends and challenges. On November 14 and 15, programme producer Abdalla Abudyak will explore the topics of “3 Seconds Rule in Content Creation for Social Media” and “Artificial Intelligence in Production.” On November 14, Varoujan Joulfayan, Head of Creative at Sky News Arabia, will present “Storytelling through Virtual Reality.” On November 16, distinguished news and programme presenter Michella Haddad will offer insights into refining TV presentation skills during her workshop, “TV Presenting.”
