The MCF Media Awards Ceremony honors outstanding achievements in journalism and celebrates those who have contributed to the advancement of the media industry.
Sky News Arabia’s General Manager, Nadim Koteich, has been honoured with the Excellence in the Media Industry Award at the May Chidiac Foundation (MCF) Media Awards Ceremony held at the Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai.
The event, attended by prominent journalists, presenters, and media industry leaders, emphasised the media’s role in promoting tolerance, coexistence, and peace.
Koteich, a regional icon in journalism and a respected media executive, is celebrated for his insightful political commentary, dedication to informing audiences, and commitment to honest and factual programming. Alongside leading Sky News Arabia and presenting Tonight with Nadim, Koteich is a columnist for Asharq Al-Awsat and has been featured in international publications like the Wall Street Journal and The Spectator.
The MCF award recognises Koteich’s steadfast commitment to excellence and his profound impact on the media landscape over the past 20 years.
Appointed General Manager of Sky News Arabia in late 2023, Koteich has led the channel through a total on-air and digital refresh, launching new programmes such as Morning with Maha and Business with Lubna, with more changes planned.
Speaking about receiving the award, Koteich said: “I am proud to receive this award from the May Chidiac Foundation, led by May Chidiac, one of the pillars of the Arab media industry. At Sky News Arabia, we are committed to fostering dialogue around the biggest stories of the day, as well as the stories that will impact our tomorrow, to ensure our viewers are informed and empowered to form their own opinions. This award is a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment to these values and our audiences worldwide.”
Koteich joins a prestigious list of previous awardees, including Rani R. Raad, CEO of International Media Investments (IMI), who previously received the Foundation’s first-ever Excellence in Media Award.

During the ceremony, Raad also presented the MCF Outstanding Media Performance Award to Ben Wedeman, CNN’s Senior International Correspondent.
The MCF Media Awards Ceremony, hosted by the May Chidiac Foundation, honours outstanding achievements in journalism and celebrates contributions to the advancement of the media industry. This year’s ceremony included additional award categories for green media, tech, and fintech.
