Apart from that, the new Sony BRAVIA Android TV buyers will also get free Shahid VIP subscriptions.
Sony MENA and MBC Group have announced that the latter’s OTT platform Shahid will be featured on Sony Android TVs from mid-March 2020. Existing users of Sony Android TVs can download the Shahid app from Google Play. Furthermore, new purchasers of these televisions will get a free subscription to Shahid VIP content.
The period of subscription varies with the model purchased and range from three months to a full year subscription for the 8K, OLED and the top of the line 4K BRAVIA TV models.
Commenting on the announcement, Shuichi Mugitani, Head of Marketing, Sony MEA said: “The premium Arabic content of Shahid ideally complements the famous industry-leading picture quality of Sony BRAVIA TVs and will provide truly immersive entertainment experiences for our Arabic customers”.

Shahid app will be available on Sony Android TVs starting March 22.
