In its inaugural edition, Sony Middle East and Africa establishes an informative platform, empowering content creators to unleash their creativity and elevate storytelling through the use of Sony’s cutting-edge digital imaging devices.
Sony Middle East and Africa marked a significant milestone with its first-ever Creators Convention in Dubai last week, dedicated to championing the creative journey and storytelling of content creators in the UAE. The full-day event, meticulously curated for content creators, unfolded in Dubai’s Al Quoz neighbourhood and drew more than 300 photography enthusiasts and content creators from across the country. The substantial turnout underscores Sony’s steadfast commitment to delivering engaging and distinctive experiences for its diverse audience.
The event, hosted at Garge Studio, featured three distinct sections. The primary area served as the backdrop for thought-provoking panel discussions and keynote sessions, where industry experts from various technology and lifestyle brands, alongside renowned content creators such as Mohammed Ihsan, Sarah Medina, and Amir De Leon, shared insights. Discussions spanned crucial topics, including exploring diverse gaming content, deciphering brand partnerships, leading cultural shifts, and sharing successful strategies for content creators engaging in brand collaborations.
Koji Sekiguchi, Marketing Director, Sony Middle East and Africa, said: “The Sony Creators Convention is an exclusive platform to support the growing needs of the creator community. Through technology and innovation, we are enabling content creators to convey emotion and tell great stories.
“We also understand that concisely conveying brand messages is becoming increasingly challenging, especially in this day and age where consumer preferences and content types are constantly evolving. Leveraging the equity of content creators and influencers, who are adept at capturing and retaining the audience’s attention, is a direct route to effectively reaching and impacting the audience. At Sony, our goal is to give content creators access to cutting-edge technology, learning and networking opportunities through platforms like Creators Convention.”
The other two areas were creatively designed to offer content creators hands-on access to Sony’s camera lineup, along with various accessories, fostering the creation of aesthetically captivating content.
The success of this inaugural edition sets the stage for Sony Middle East and Africa to plan similar events in the future across regions where an expanding community of content creators can benefit. Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, and South Africa are earmarked for potential future events. Interested participants can register on Sony Alpha Universe for updates on upcoming workshops and activations.
